Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a country that has grown up on coffee and has given the world some of the finest coffee in the world. While Tres Rios is the coffee that most people in the United States know well, the king of Costa Rican coffee is Tarrazu.

Costa Rica's environment gives its coffee characteristics that are highly variable depending on the region, however, the product that comes from the country is of extraordinarily high quality. The volcanic soil and microclimates give the different regions of Costa Rica very different flavors. That said, Costa Rican coffees have been considered by some experts as "too perfect".
